What is SayEstimate?
It's an AI office for contractors. Walk a job and talk or snap photos, and it writes a priced, professional estimate. Your customer approves, signs, and pays from their phone, then it invoices, schedules, and chases the money for you — all in one app.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. You get 14 days free with no card. Add your business info and you can send your first estimate the same day.
How long does it take to set up?
Minutes. Put in your business name and contact, add your logo (or make one right in the app), and you're ready to send.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There's no contract and you can cancel anytime. And if you ever leave, you keep read-only access to every document you created — your paperwork is yours.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $9.99 a month after your free trial. There's a plan for a solo operator all the way up to a crew.
What do I get in the free trial?
Full access for 14 days, no credit card required.
Do you charge per user like the big guys?
No. The Crew plan puts up to 8 people in the app for one flat monthly price instead of charging per seat, per month, forever.
Will my price go up later?
The price you join at is the price you keep. No tier games, no add-on ransoms, no per-seat surprises.
Does it fit my trade?
What trades is it built for?
More than 35 — from drywall, roofing, and insulation to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, concrete, siding, tree service, machine shops, and more. Each trade comes with a starter price book so the AI prices your jobs in real numbers.
What if my exact trade isn't listed?
There's an “Other trade” option, and you can build your own price book with your materials and labor rates so every estimate comes out in your numbers.
The AI
How does the AI price my jobs?
On day one it prices from current going market rates. As you build your price book, it switches to YOUR numbers wherever they apply, so your estimates always sound like you.
Is the AI pricing accurate?
It's a fast, editable starting point — never a black box. Every line item is right there for you to review and tweak before anything goes out the door.
Can it really read plans and photos?
Yes. Upload a plan set or snap a photo of the job and the AI takes off the quantities and builds the line items. It can even pull a roof or attic measurement from the client's address.
Can I just talk instead of typing?
That's the whole idea. Tap the mic, describe the job out loud as you walk it, and a draft estimate is waiting before you're back in the truck.
Getting paid
How do my customers pay?
Right from the estimate or invoice on their phone — by card, bank transfer, or financing. They can sign and pay a deposit in the same tap.
Where does the money go?
Straight into your own Stripe account the moment they pay. SayEstimate never touches it, holds it, or pays you out on a schedule — because it was never ours.
Are there extra fees on payments?
No markup is added on top of standard card processing fees. What Stripe charges is what you pay.
What about financing for big jobs?
Financing is offered to your customer through Affirm, subject to approval, right on the estimate.
Phones, languages & your data
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — phone, tablet, or computer. You can add it to your home screen and it works like an installed app.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. The whole app speaks six languages — English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, and Italiano — for you AND your customers, with a one-tap switch.
Is my information safe?
Payments run through Stripe, one of the most trusted names in the business, and your money settles to your own account. Your documents stay yours, even if you cancel.
